W04 - Choosing a Site and Host
A lot of information to sift through this week about which Site builder to use and then which Host to use. There are many options to choose from, but for this course, I choose to go Weebly since I can Build and Host with the same platform. Plus, as a site builder, the platform will require less learning curve to get up and going (plus there a ton of YouTube videos that I can follow to set this site up the way I want).
My biggest concern will be getting the product to be drop shipped like I want - hunting down Wholesalers for Board Games is a little tougher than I thought, so I'm going to need to spend more time researching and applying to various wholesaler websites. I want to get something close here in the US so that the shipping times won't be so long.
Overall, I'm enjoying what I'm learning. I already setup my Weebly account and named my website "MountainTop Gamez" - www.mountaintopgamez.com
Of course, I'm just starting to build the site, but I paid $16 for the month for Weebly and $20 for the Domain. I wanted to use www.mountaintopgames.com, but it was already taken by GoDaddy and it appeared that I needed to contact them to find out how much they would sell it to me for - which means more than $20. Lol - so I went with a slightly different domain instead.
